Regarding work and jobs. You make an excellent point. In view that this article was a very brief snapshot of my thinking — I should say I still believe that the distinction between a job (a semantic to which we think about security and status) and work (a term that is expansive and like you rightly highlight is ‘endlessly’ possible’) is valid. My wording as it relates to the developing world is to view work as value to be created, opportunity to be had, money to be earned — irrespective if it is is in a conventional job, single organisation or some other myth of labour in exchange for security. I’m still investigating this and look forward to chatting on it more.
