Maybe It’s Enough Just Being the Person That You Are
Maybe, just maybe, we can make room to boost our productivity by not being so God damn productive. A simple Google search yields over 1.6 results for productivity. That’s 1,600,000,000 just to be redundant.

And yes that one-time sacred act of sex can be weaponized so you can be more effective, you guessed it, at fucking work.
The conflict between doing and not-doing, between leisure and non-leisure, need not exist. Because like any system of energy it depends on the tension between opposites. Whether baking banana bread for your family, busting out a client presentation, or breaking away from it all — what matters is how you do it.
Action and non-action can both be effortless.
What are we willing to sacrifice in the name of productivity? If we stay true to ourselves and our nature — we can see that much of our busyness is simply because we don’t know how to be still. Worse yet, is how idleness is rarely viewed as a virtue.
Sometimes it’s not about the doing.
Salad-making doesn’t need to be an effective undertaking.
Instagram doesn’t have to convert to jack shit.
And this blog post doesn’t need any claps —because it wrote me.
