Toast in The Morning
I went months without breakfast.
It went against everything that I knew to be right.
My Swedish pal would disapprove. All Swedes for that matter would be astonished.
At the time, I was actively listening to friends and subconsciously listening to IG influencers about the powers of intermittent fasting.
Actually, it was my recently pregnant neighbor that put the nail in the coffin. “Just do it for 6-weeks and you’ll jump-start your body,” she declared.
I’ll spare you the details, suffice to say it can help shed some pounds and reframe your relationship to food — but mostly, it just makes mornings less enjoyable. The intermittent hack should be used intermittingly if you get what I mean.
Besides, I like my toast. I love it. My peanut butter too. And bananas.
My morning coffee missed his friends so. No longer because breakfast is back baby.
